If you’re traveling in the Rangeley region of the state, be sure to stop at Height of Land.  This roadside rest stop overlooks Mooselookmeguntic Lake and the valley.  You’ll have the best view of the Rangeley Lakes Region and surrounding mountains, too.  The Appalachian Trail passes close by this roadside stop.  The scenic vantage point is especially beautiful when the fall colors arrive.  The scenic overlook is located on the Rangeley Lakes National Scenic Byway.
