Visiting Maine’s slopes in the winter offers a challenge, adventure, family fun and lively entertainment throughout the colder months.  Maine is home to 19 ski areas including world-class resorts with 2,000+ verticals, big mountain areas with 1,000+ verticals, and family recreation slopes with under 1,000 verticals.  Maine has mountains for every level of adventure.

↟↟↟ NEW for the 2017/2018 Ski Season:  Burnt Mountain Cat Skiing ↟↟↟

Sugarloaf’s second peak, Burnt Mountain, has only been accessible to those who trekked to the top on their own in the past.  Now, adventurous skiers seeking remote wilderness skiing can ride one of two snowcats to the top of Burnt Mountain to gain access to the deep power and rugged, steep terrain of the Androscoggin Glade.  Reach 1,400+ vertical feet and 68 acres of side country powder in 20 minutes at New England’s only cat skiing operation.
