MAINE’S FIRST STATE PARK

Located northeast of Baxter State Park, Scraggly Lake is the most prominent feature of the reserve.  Ireland Pond, also within the unit, offers more remote recreational opportunities.  The lands include deep forests, ponds, brooks and bogs.
