New England’s Largest Freshwater Lake

Home to Mt. Kineo and Moosehead Lake, the Moosehead Lake Public Reserved Land is an outdoor recreation paradise.  Four seasons of adventure await, including skiing, hunting, fishing, paddling snowmobiling and more.  The Northern Forest Canoe Trail passes through this region, and hikers enjoy the views from the fire tower at the top of Mt. Kineo, with it’s 700 foor cliffs and panoramic view of the region.
