Lost Valley 5K Relay & Backyard Beer Fest

For the 6th year in a row, we conclude the New England Trail Run Series with the Lost Valley 5k Relay and this year add the Backyard Beer Fest. For the race, competitors will be able to choose between a solo event or a team event. Solo racers may choose from 5k, 10k, or 15k course. Teams may enter as a 3-person 15k team only. The course itself will be comprised of a single 5k loop on the nordic trails of Lost Valley. Solo 10k and 15k racers will complete multiple loops of the course. Teams will do the same in a relay format with each team member completing one 5k loop. Following the race, stick around for the 1st annual Backyard Beer Fest, featuring beverages from 7 local breweries. Including unlimited 4oz pours. Also, enjoy live music courtesy of the Brad Hutchinson Project. Interested in entering the cornhole tournament? We'll have that too. Signups day-of. Quarry Road Fall Festival

On Saturday, November 2, the community is invited between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the Quarry Road Trails Fall Festival in Waterville. All are invited to this free community event to enjoy fun activities, explore the trails and learn about winter programs, volunteer opportunities, recent updates and future plans. Quarry Road Trails is located at 300 Quarry Rd, Waterville, ME. Family-friendly activities will include trail walks, pumpkin bowling, apple slinging, bean bag toss, face painting, and more. Common Street Arts and the Children’s Discovery Museum will offer a pop-up museum and pumpkin art. Cider making and fall refreshments will be provided at no charge and 92 Moose will be on-hand with a live radio broadcast throughout the event. A 5 K run and 1-mile Fun Run/walk will start at 10:00 before the Fall Festival with all proceeds going to support the ski programs at Quarry Road. Pre-registration can be done on skireg.com or at 9:30 on the day of the race. Season ski passes for the upcoming season will be on sale at pre-season discounted rates and information about youth ski programs will be available. The Quarry Road Fall Festival is the November feature event of Northern Light Inland Hospital’s Let’s Go! Family Fun Series. Hospital volunteers will be on-hand to register new participants for this free program linking families to local resources like Quarry Road Trails for year-round, free and low-cost, active family fun.
